Western Australia - November 2012

The weather was a little threatening when we started the Western Australia tour, however we only experienced a couple of quick showers. On the whole the 10 days of the tour was terrifc golfing weather.
The variety of courses was a great test of the men and ladies ability to adapt to the different styles of courses. The links courses of The Cut, Secret Harbour and Kennedy Bay - the resort courses of Meadow Springs and Joondalup - and the traditional great golf course that is Lake Karrinyup provided a variety of challenges to all our seniors.

The ladies has a great tussle in the early rounds before the very consistent Robyn Edson    (The Lakes Golf Club - Hcp 21) kicked clear of the field and eventually won easily by
11 shots from the 2008 Western Australia winner Barbara Kelly (NSW Golf Club - Hcp 20).

John Kelly (NSW Golf Club - Hcp 25) held a comfortable lead going into the final round caused by his remarkable rounds of 38, 43 and 40 points at Port Kennedy, Secret Harbour and The Cut respectively. Lake Karrinyup proved a "leveller" for most and John went on to win by an easy 5 shots from his nearest rival Alan Balderson (The Lakes Golf Club - Hcp 17)

The final dinner held at the magnificent Lake Karrinyup Country Club was a fitting end to a most enjoyable tour.
