Ian Stuart Karen Stasukatis
A great week was had by all on the Mornington Peninsula, despite the unsettled weather of the first two days.
The condition of the golf courses was terrific and the weather became idyllic for golf.
Being the week of The Masters everyone enjoyed a cooked breakfast in front of the BIg Screen TV to watch the masters coverage, before we headed out to the course.
The men going into the final round realised any of four players could win with a good score at The National Ocean Course. Ian Stuart from Concord Golf Club (Hcp 11) came in with a respectable 34 stableford points which was enough to get up and win on a countback from Keith Van Klink from Ryde-Parramatta Golf Club (Hcp 19) who carded 30 points.
The ladies competition came down to Karen Stasukatis from Ryde-Parramatta Golf Club (Hcp 35) and Yvonne Day from Camden Golf Club (Hcp 20). Both ladies cleared away from the rest of the field in the previous 5 rounds. All the ladies found the Ocean Course at The National rather challenging. Karen's 29 points on the final day was enough to get up and win by 3 shots.
Thank you - Thank you - for taking me to these beautiful places !
Everything runs like clockwork
We would never have envisaged playing on these courses without your organisation
I do not believe I could do it privately for the same price!
