Close Encounters in Sedona, Arizona - September 2013

Senior Golfers from South Australia and New South Wales recently visited Mainland U.S.A. visiting the beautiful Scottsdale and Sedona areas of Arizona. The Mens Division in the closing stages was a tussle between Jim Screen (Roseville) and George Thomson (Concord). Despite returning 36 points in the final round it was not enough for George Thomson to catch Jim Screen who carded 35 points and able to hold out George to win by 1 point !

The Ladies Division was also closely contested even though Pam Thomson (Concord) raced off with a large lead carding 43 and 41 points for the first two rounds. Karen Stasukatis (Ryde-Parramatta) made up 8 points at the two courses in Sedona, but fell short by only 2 points to be runner-up.
