Hawaiian Islands Tour - A great start - June 2013

The Hawaiian Islands tour has got off to a great start with the Trade Winds cooling temperatures down on the Island of Kauai. Kauai Lagoons and Poipu Bay courses were played in breezy conditions which made these great courses a little more challenging than usual.

Max Lewis (Coolangatta / Tweed Heads) with rounds of 35 and 36 over the two days saw him take an early lead in the Mens section.

The beautiful scenery did not distract Judith Rostron (Roseville) in the Ladies section as her  scores of 34 and 33 were too consistent and now takes a 2 shot lead over Helen Vanderfield (Concord).

But it is early days and players being able to drop their two worst rounds, anything can happen over the next 7 rounds. The AVGA has two tours planned to the beautiful Hawaiian Islands next year - contact Jan on (02) 9541-4178 to register your interest for next year.
