What was very unseasonal weather in South Australia - our senior golfers were extremely fortunate only to have a few holes of drizzle during the entire 7 rounds conducted over the first 10 days of November. Torrential rain even a tornado at Murray Bridge hit the state as well as flash flooding at Port Lincoln on Eyre Peninsula - none of which impaired any of our games.
Roger Bortfield pretty much led after 2 rounds and whilst Allen Wilson from NSW Golf Club and Alan Balderston from The Lakes Golf Club made a strong challenge at Links Lady Bay and The Grange, Roger was too strong in the final 3 rounds clearing out to win by a comfortable 6 shots. The other highlight during the tour was Norm Levi from Nowra Golf Club holing his 2nd shot on a Par 4 for an eagle.
The Ladies competition was very close with any one of 4 in contention. Jill Levi got away to a wonderful start with 34 and 37 points. Consistency over the final 5 rounds except for the difficult Royal Adelaide Ladies Course, saw Jill draw away from her main challengers winning by a comfortable 5 shots.
Thank you - Thank you - for taking me to these beautiful places !
Everything runs like clockwork
We would never have envisaged playing on these courses without your organisation
I do not believe I could do it privately for the same price!
