Did you miss coming with the AVGA to China? - March 2012

The 18th Hole on the Sandbelt course at Mission Hills Haikou as played on Thursday 12th April 2012..  An experience of a lifetime !!

Terry & Maureen Collins from Manly Golf Club won the Mens & Ladies Complete Mission Hills Tour encompassing the two locations at Haikou, Hainan Island and Shenzhen / Dongguan on mainland China. Maureen only won by 3 shots from Robyn Edson of The Lakes Golf Club, whilst Terry won by a resounding 20 shots from his nearest competitor.

Beautiful warm to hot days greeted us every day on Hainan Island, the mainland was struck with heavy rain and electrical storms. Irrespective, we set some records at Dongguan !  It was the earliest time we teed off in an AVGA Event - 6.30am at The Els course on the Shenzhen side. It has been the only time we have ever played 36 holes in one day !. It was the only time we have ever played 
90 holes (5 rounds of golf) in 4 days ! It was a testament to the fitness of all those seniors who came, and how good golf is for you
